Guess What’s for Dinner…

WARNING!  Do not watch this video if you are squeamish or don’t want to watch a mouse get attacked and eaten by a corn snake.

Meet Slytherin, my Corn Snake.  Slytherin is about 2 years old and roughly 2 1/2 feet long.  A fully grown corn snake (also known as the red rat snake) will grow between 3 and 4 feet in length, typically never getting much thicker than a garden hose.

As far as snakes go, corn snakes are an easy pet to take care of due to their calm nature.  Corn snakes are very low maintenance.  Feeding time comes only once a week, and if your not the kind of person who enjoys watching your snake catch and swallow a  live mouse, then you can always buy frozen feeder mice from your local pet store.  All you do is soak one of the frozen mice in a container of warm water for about 20 minutes, dry off the excess water and feed it to your snake.

Bearded Dragons

Bearded Dragons are generally considered good pets even for beginner reptile owners, even though they have a fairly complicated diet, special enclosure needs and require a fair amount of care.  Bearded Dragons are very social, easy to handle and can get depressed if your not paying enough attention to them causing their scales to fall off.  Some of these little guys will actually bob their heads and wave to you through the glass when you approach the tank.

Adult size usually reach lengths of 18-24  by about 2 years of age and have been known to live over 10 years.

Check out this cool home video of this bearded dragon waving to the camera…

Bulldogs Snore Pretty Bad

dsc03433.jpg

Hopefully you remember my new bulldog puppy, Tank.

Bulldogs are very sweet and one of the most lovable dogs in the world.

However, there are just a couple things you should know about when it comes to owning a bulldog.  Bulldogs tend to be very gassy.  Sometimes it’s so bad, that you have to run out of the room.  The other thing you should know is that they also tend to have breathing problems and they snore LOUDLY.

Here is a short video of my puppy Tank snoring, who is now 4 months old.

Meet Tank

tanktank.jpg

This is my new puppy, Tank.  Tank is an English Bulldog who likes to chew on everybody and everything.  Bulldogs, despite their tough guy image, are very friendly and have even-tempered personalities that have helped to make them a very popular family pet.  In fact, the Bulldog just made its way back onto the top 10 most popular dogs list after 75 years.

One thing you should know about Bulldogs is that they are the only breed of dog that can’t swim and would sink straight to the bottom if they tried.
